Accountant

A well-established and fast-paced organisation within the financial services sector is looking to appoint a skilled Accountant to join their team based in Randburg.

This opportunity is ideal for a BCom-qualified finance professional with strong exposure to the full accounting function and an understanding of the micro-lending environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the end-to-end financial management of the micro-lending business, ensuring compliance with NCR legislation and internal credit policies while supporting the overall finance function.

This role is perfectly suited to a candidate who enjoys working in a deadline-driven environment and is eager to gain valuable industry exposure within a growing and dynamic business.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-end financial management of the micro-lending business
• Ensure compliance with NCR legislation and internal credit policies
• Maintain and manage financial records and reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end reporting processes
• Monitor and manage credit-related financial processes
• Support financial reporting and operational finance functions
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
• Assist with audit preparation and supporting documentation

Job Experience & Qualifications:

• BCom degree essential
• 23 years post-qualification experience
• Exposure to the micro-lending or financial services industry advantageous
• Strong understanding of NCR legislation and credit policies
• Experience with reconciliations and reporting processes
• Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
• Strong communication and organisational skills
