The Role

We are seeking a Housekeeping Manager / Assistant Housekeeping Manager to lead or support the housekeeping function within a luxury wine estate in Franschhoek.

This role will be shaped by the level of experience brought by the successful candidate — either stepping fully into a leadership position or supporting the department head in delivering exceptional standards across the estate.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
  • Leading or supporting the daily housekeeping operations across all guest and public areas
  • Maintaining impeccable standards of cleanliness, presentation, and consistency
  • Conducting detailed room and public area inspections
  • Managing or supporting team scheduling, performance, and development
  • Overseeing or assisting with stock control, linen management, and ordering
  • Implementing and maintaining SOPs and quality control systems
  • Ensuring that every space reflects the calm, refined nature of the estate
  • Supporting a culture of accountability, pride, and attention to detail within the team

  • Experience within a luxury hotel, lodge, or estate environment

  • Organised, structured, and proactive approach to operations
