The Role: Quantity Surveyor (BSc) for Multi Storey Concrete Structures
The purpose of this role is to manage the financial control, site administration, and commercial aspects of projects. The focus areas include cost reporting, estimating, tendering, and managing site expenditure, interim valuations, and sub-contractor payments.The role involves valuing scope changes, site instructions, and variation orders, as well as negotiating and closing out final accounts with PQs and sub-contractors.
Key Responsibilities- Possess a minimum of 10 years experience to execute financial control of projects, cost reporting, and managing site expenditure.
- Prepare interim valuations and prepare and process sub-contractors payments.
- Value scope changes, site instructions, and variation orders.
- Negotiate and close out final accounts with PQs and sub-contractors.
- Manage site administrations, appointments of sub-contractors, and commercial aspects.
- Perform estimating and tendering duties.
- Apply advanced knowledge of Candy and Excel software.
- Utilize proper knowledge of JBCC contracts across all editions.
- Minimum of 10 Years Experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Candy software.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel software.
- Proper knowledge of JBCC contracts (all editions).
- Professional fluency in English and Afrikaans.
- Proficiency in additional indigenous languages is a plus.
