Deputy COO - FMCG/Manufacturing

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Finance, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 12 years experience within an FMCG / manufacturing environment
• Experience in the EDIBLE OILS field a definite advantage
• Proven senior leadership experience managing multi-functional operations
• Strong understanding of production planning, quality systems, supply chain, and commercial drivers
• Experience in lean manufacturing, process improvement, and operational optimisation
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, costing, margins, and profitability analysis
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Strategic thinker with strong execution ability
• Results-driven and deadline focused
• Highly analytical and commercially minded
• Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Able to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations across production, quality, supply chain, SHEQ, logistics, and commercial functions
• Improve plant efficiencies, productivity, OEE, and cost controls across operations
• Lead strategic execution of business plans, KPI alignment, and performance management
• Drive process optimisation, automation, live reporting dashboards, and data-driven decision making
• Manage inventory controls, procurement efficiencies, demand planning, and warehousing performance
