Electronic Hardware Engineer
An innovative engineering and technology environment is seeking a Development Engineer Hardware to design and develop advanced electronic systems for industrial applications. Working within a multi-disciplinary engineering team, you will be involved across the full product lifecycle from circuit design and prototyping through to production-ready hardware.
This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical electronic systems, collaborating closely with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust and reliable solutions for real-world operating conditions. You will also play a key role in driving high-quality hardware design, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to ongoing technical innovation.
Education & Skills:
- BEng (Electronics) / BSc Engineering (Electronics) or equivalent qualification.
A minimum of 5 years experience in:
- Analog and digital circuit design
- Embedded systems design and programming
- Industrialisation and product development of electronic systems
- Hardware and software integration in embedded environments
- C/C++ programming for embedded applications
- PCB design (experience with Altium Designer highly advantageous)
- Working with microcontrollers, FPGAs, and digital signal processing (DSP)
- Communication protocols, such as I²C, SPI, UART, CAN, and ethernet
- Circuit simulation tools (LTSpice, PSpice, MATLAB or equivalent)
- Reading and interpreting technical schematics and datasheets
- Design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT)
- EMC/EMI compliance and relevant industry standards
- Version control systems, such as Git or SVN
- Laboratory test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analysers, spectrum analysers, and multimeters)
