Structural BIM Technician

Job Description:

• Develop and maintain accurate structural BIM models using Revit (Concept to IFC).
• Produce coordinated structural drawings including plans, sections, and details.
• Translate engineer markups and sketches into BIM models and documentation.
• Coordinate structural models with architects and other disciplines.
• Participate in clash detection and model coordination reviews.
• Ensure all models and drawings comply with BIM standards and project requirements

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 35 years experience in structural engineering, materials science, or related fields.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit Structure; Navisworks and BIM coordination experience advantageous.
• Solid understanding of structural systems, materials, and behaviour, with hands-on testing or applied technical experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
• High attention to detail, effective communication, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a collaborative environment.

Qualification:

• Masters degree (MEng / MSc) or PhD in Structural Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
• Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (essential).
