About the Role:

My client is seeking a skilled and driven Technical Specialist to provide expert technical support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electronic safety and control systems within the mining industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring product reliability, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence across client sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for system and product failures
• Perform technical audits, diagnostics, servicing, and maintenance on my client's electronic systems
• Support installation and commissioning of new systems on-site
• Provide technical support to clients, technicians, and operational teams
• Deliver training and mentorship to technicians, operators, and end-users
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and S21 requirements
• Maintain accurate technical reports and documentation

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualified Artisan (Red Seal) in Electrical, Auto Electrical, or related trade
• 3–5 years' experience within electronics/electrical systems, preferably in mining or heavy industry
• Strong understanding of electronics, wiring, and mining safety equipment
• Valid Code 8 or 10 driver's licence
• Medically fit for mine site work
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Computer literate with MS Office experience

Advantageous:

• N6 or National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• ERP system knowledge
