Senior Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute operational and business strategies to achieve financial and operational targets
- Manage fleet utilisation, operational costs, route optimisation and service delivery
- Drive business development, contract negotiations and sustainable revenue growth
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers and stakeholders
- Manage financial performance, budgeting, P&L and commercial results
- Ensure compliance with SHEQ, risk, governance and transport legislation
- Lead, develop and coach operational teams
- Drive continuous improvement and a high-performance culture
- Present and negotiate at Senior Management and Board level
- Bachelors degree in Transport, Logistics Management or a related field
- 5 to 8 years senior management experience in a transport operations environment
- Strong exposure to trucking, General Freight, Chemical and/or Hazardous Cargo
- Proven financial and commercial acumen, including P&L accountability
- Proven track record in strategic customer relationship management
- Experience presenting and negotiating at Senior Management and Board level
- Management-level experience in fuel, chemical and gas logistics
- Strong knowledge of transport operations, legislation, SHEQ, risk and governance
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
