Sales Engineer - Open Cast Capital Equipment

A respected supplier of specialised equipment to the mining industry is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to drive capital equipment sales into open-cast mining operations.
This role is suited to a technically strong sales professional who understands mining environments, heavy equipment applications, and the long sales cycles associated with large capital projects.
Non-Negotiable Requirements- Proven experience selling capital equipment into open-cast mining operations
- Strong understanding of surface mining equipment and applications
- Ability to engage with mine management, engineering teams, and procurement
- Proven track record of closing high-value technical sales
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to mining sites
- Identify and develop new equipment sales opportunities within open-cast mining operations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with mine management and engineering teams
- Conduct site visits to assess operational requirements
- Prepare technical proposals and commercial quotations
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to project close
- Maintain pipeline reporting and sales forecasting
A tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Mining, or Industrial Engineering will be advantageous.
