Financial Accountant Property Sector
Were partnering with a well-established and growing business in the property and asset management industry to appoint a Financial Accountant with proven property sector experience. This is a newly created role, reflecting the growth and increasing complexity of the portfolio, and offers meaningful exposure to senior stakeholders, assets, and investors.
This role is ideal for someone who understands the financial engine behind property portfolios and is comfortable working across accounting, reporting, compliance, and analysis in a hands-on environment.
The Role
The Financial Accountant will take ownership of the full financial accounting function, working closely with executive leadership and external partners. The role spans management and statutory reporting, cash flow forecasting, investor reporting, and property-specific financial matters, including valuations, municipal accounts, and acquisition support.
Youll be involved in both day-to-day financial operations and strategic finance support, making this a strong fit for someone who enjoys visibility, accountability, and impact. Office-based Cape Town CBD.
Key Requirements- Minimum 3 years experience in a Financial Accountant role
- At least 3 years experience at an accounting firm (SAICA / SAIPA articles preferred)
- Property sector experience is essential and will be prioritised
- Relevant university degree (no BTech / Diploma)
- Professional affiliation advantageous (SAICA, SAIPA, CIMA, SAIBA, SAIT)
- Solid experience with IFRS, tax, audits, and statutory compliance
- Exposure to investor reporting, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting
- Clear ITC and verified qualifications
