Financial Manager

About the Role:

This role offers an opportunity to be a key player in driving financial efficiency and supporting business decision-making at an executive level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full financial function, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to stakeholders.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk assessment.
• Implement financial controls and ensure adherence to corporate governance and compliance requirements.
• Work closely with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
• Develop financial models and reports to aid in business strategy and growth initiatives.
• Oversee payroll, tax submissions (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax), and liaise with SARS as needed.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial efficiency and cost management.

Minimum Requirements:

• BCom Finance Honours Degree or similar finance degree (Essential).
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) (Preferred).
• Minimum of 5-8 years experience in financial management, with a proven track record of strategic financial oversight.
• Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations, and corporate governance.
• Experience using Sage software (Preferred but not essential).
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
