Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate a team of maintenance staff (carpenters, bricklayers, plumbers, groundsmen, etc.)
• Oversee all facilities maintenance activities, ensuring quality and timely completion
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, infrastructure, and site surroundings
• Allocate daily tasks and manage team performance on-site
• Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and company procedures
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and provide hands-on support when required
• Maintain basic records of maintenance work and reporting

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Proven experience in a facilities maintenance supervisory role
• Trade-related experience (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, bricklaying or similar)
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Ability to work in an industrial or plant environment

Ideal Candidate:

• Hands-on and practicalleads from the front, not from behind a desk
• Mature and dependable with solid experience managing maintenance teams
• Able to handle multiple trades and keep operations running smoothly
• Strong problem-solver with a no-nonsense approach to maintenance

Nice-to-Have:

• Trade qualification (advantageous)
• Experience in power generation, industrial plants, or heavy environments
