Printer Operator

Minimum Qualifications:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Trade Qualification in Corrugated Board Printing and Finishing Machine Minding

Requirements & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years experience operating printing machinery
• Strong understanding of machine operations, equipment control, and IoT systems
• Computer literacy: MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and/or internal systems
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Knowledge of ink viscosity and colour matching essential

The ideal candidate must be:

• Willing and able to work shifts and overtime when required
• Proactive, responsible, and reliable
• Capable of working independently
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up printing machines according to production requirements
• Ensure adherence to all quality, safety, and environmental standards within the organisation
• Comply with ISO procedures and contribute to a safe working environment
• Review and assess work orders to understand production needs
• Ensure the final product meets customer specifications and expectations
• Maintain high housekeeping standards within the department
• Update and maintain relevant in-house systems daily
• Actively participate in improving machine availability by following preventive maintenance procedures
