Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting- All balance sheet accounts to be reconciled monthly back to the general ledger and/or subledgers with supporting documentation Target 100%
- Fixed asset register to be maintained monthly and reconciled back to the general ledger with supporting documentation Target 100%
- Income statement allocations to be correct and variances month to month to be explained Target 100%
- Monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports submitted on or before group deadlines Target 100%
- Number of errors or adjustments required post submission Target less than 2 significant adjustments per reporting cycle
- Financial reports prepared in accordance with relevant reporting standards Target 100%
- Annual audit timeliness completion of annual audits within group deadlines
- Audit findings (both external and internal audit) number of material findings or issues raised during audit Target 0
- Adherence to internal financial controls and policies Target 100%
- Assist with improving, testing and documenting systems of control minimum of 2 per annum
- Assist other members in the Finance team with workload as and when required or directed to do so
- Assist with stock count on a regular basis
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis as and when required
- Any other duties which may be reasonably requested of you
- Maintain up to date knowledge of IFRS and IFRS for SMES as well as relevant tax legislation (VAT and Income Tax)
- BCOM (Accounting) and/or SAIPA
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years in a similar role
- Computer Literacy: Microsoft 365
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel
- ERP system experience (Dynamics Business Central preferable)
- Work independently and on own initiative
- Systematic approach to work and problem solving
- Meticulous regarding detail, record keeping and managing of documents
- Must be able to adhere to company targets/deadlines and objectives (non-negotiable)
- Work with people and be a team player
- Sense of urgency and be able to prioritise work
