Senior Broker Assistant
A wellâestablished, fast-growing financial advisory practice is seeking a Senior Broker Assistant who can juggle admin, client service, compliance, and pipeline management with Olympic-level finesse.
This role is not for someone who wants to "just do admin". This is for someone who enjoys being the power behind the throne; the person who keeps the wheels turning, the clients calm, and the adviser functioning like a productive adult.
Youll be operating in a dynamic environment where virtual advisory models meet high-performance operations. If you find joy in structure, efficiency, and a good checklist, youre about to feel very seen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and follow up on leads like a friendly-but-persistent detective.
- Book advisor appointments that turn into actual business.
- Drive annual and bi-annual client review schedules (Google Calendar is your kingdom).
- Identify cross-selling opportunities before the advisor even finishes their sentence.
- Keep the XPlan pipeline pristine.
- Manage KYC/FICA like a compliance ninja - silent, accurate, and deadly to non-compliance.
- Process amendments, switches, transfers, and policy changes without breaking a sweat.
- Prepare client documents so organised they could be framed in a museum.
- Ensure that every file meets FAIS, FICA, POPIA and TCF standards, because you sleep better knowing that everything is compliant.
Experience & Skills Required:
- 35+ years in a financial planning / insurance / investment support environment.
- XPlan experience (nonânegotiable, must speak it like a second language).
- Strong understanding of FAIS, FICA, POPIA, and TCF.
- Confident with client engagement, including outbound calling.
- Obsessed with accuracy.
- Comfortable working in a structured, target-driven environment.
- Matric required.
- 35 years as a Broker Assistant.
- RE5 or relevant Wealth Management qualification beneficial but not essential.
