Junior IT Support Technician

Description:

• Install and maintain network cabling, routers, switches, and related infrastructure
• Install and configure CCTV systems and ensure optimal performance
• Install and maintain biometric and access control systems
• Provide on-site and remote IT support to diagnose and resolve technical issues
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity problems
• Provide clear technical explanations to non-technical clients
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, installations, maintenance, and repairs
• Ensure all documentation is updated in company systems
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure efficient service delivery
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders

Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Valid South African drivers license
• Willingness to be on standby every second weekend
• Basic understanding of:
• CCTV systems
• Access control systems
• Network cabling and infrastructure
• Routers, switches, and modems
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to adapt to new technologies, processes, and tools
• Good time management and prioritization skills
