Internal Technical Sales Specialist – Process Instrumentation

A respected organisation within industrial process instrumentation is seeking an Internal Technical Sales Specialist for its Sandton sales office.

You will support customers and External Sales Representatives by interpreting application requirements, preparing and following up on quotations, processing purchase orders and providing delivery feedback. You will also identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell instrumentation products, services and solutions.

The position requires close collaboration with the Projects, Service, Logistics and Finance departments to ensure excellent customer service and efficient order fulfilment.

Education:

• Matric
• NDip, N6 or Trade Test in Instrumentation and Automation

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Three to five years experience within a technical sales environment
• Sound knowledge of industrial process and field instrumentation
• Experience preparing quotations and responding to requests for quotations
• Ability to interpret customer applications and recommend suitable technical solutions
• Experience following up on quotations, purchase orders and deliveries
• Strong customer-service and relationship-development skills
• Upselling and cross-selling ability
• Excellent administration, planning and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer relationship management systems
• SAP experience would be advantageous
• Practical field-instrumentation experience would be advantageous
• Ability to work independently and perform effectively under pressure
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
