Mechanical Structural Draughtsman

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for underground mining infrastructure projects.
- Produce general arrangements, detailed drawings, assemblies, sections, and Bills of Materials.
- Design shaft steelwork, headgear structures, winder systems, support structures, transfer chutes, and related mechanical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and client requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate design solutions.
- Participate in design reviews and resolve technical design issues.
- Maintain drawing registers and document control processes.
- National Diploma or NQF Level 4 qualification in Mechanical or Structural Draughting or Engineering Design
- Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, or equivalent 3D CAD software
- 510 years' Mechanical/Structural draughting experience within mining and construction
- Strong exposure to underground mining infrastructure and shaft-related projects
- Experience producing layouts, GA drawings, steel structures, and mechanical equipment drawings
Skills:
- Strong understanding of underground mining systems and structural steelwork
- Proficiency in 3D modelling software
- Excellent documentation and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
