Financial Manager – Insurance Gauteng, Johannesburg – Eastern Suburbs

The Financial Manager will oversee all operations of the Finance Department, set strategic goals, and ensure the delivery of accurate, timely financial reporting to support business decision-making. This role is responsible for driving financial excellence, maintaining compliance, and leading a high-performing finance team within the insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and board.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Streamline and enhance reporting processes to meet deadlines efficiently.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals.
• Manage finance-related projects and ensure timely delivery of key deliverables.
• Provide financial insights and modelling to support strategic decisions.

Essential:

• Matric certificate and BCom in Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in financial management roles.
• Strong expertise in budgeting, reporting, forecasting, and financial controls.
• Proven experience in team leadership and staff development.
• Exposure to audits, compliance, and financial modelling.

Advantageous:

• CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience in insurance or financial services.
• Experience with ERP/financial systems.
