The Electrical Project Engineer is responsible for the engineering and design of complex projects in
the industrial, petrochemical and commercial sectors.
A strong technical background will thereforebe necessary to do the detailed electrical engineering designs (MV, LV, motor control, stand-by
power supplies, earthing & lightning protection system design, power system analysis / protection
design etc.).
Requirements:
- BSc / BEng./ BTech/ B.Eng.Tech in Electrical Engineering
- Around 4 or more years experience working in a consulting engineering firm
- Good computer skills required (MS Word, Excel, Project)
- Working knowledge of OHS Act, SANS, IEC etc. required
- Power system modelling experience on ETAP will be beneficial
- Working knowledge of industrial instrumentation will be beneficial
Duties include:
- Preparation of conceptual and detailed designs
- Project Management
- Site investigations
- Construction supervision
- Tender supervision
- Administration
