Senior Electrical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Electrical Engineering Department and design team.
• Review, approve, and sign off on LV and MV electrical designs.
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety, budget, and schedule requirements.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and development of engineers and draughtspersons.
• Prepare scopes of work, technical specifications, BOQs, and tender documentation.
• Conduct site audits, compliance assessments, and technical investigations.
• Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
• Oversee commissioning activities and ensure successful project implementation.
• Drive continuous improvement and adherence to industry best practices.

Requirements:

• BEng Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Registered Pr. Eng.
• Minimum 10 years electrical design and engineering experience.
• Strong experience in mining and industrial plant environments.
• Sound knowledge of SANS, OHS Act, MHSA, UL, and CSA standards.
• Experience with ETAP, PLC, SCADA, and MCC design (IEC 61439).
• Proven leadership and project management capability.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Preferred Expertise:

• Medium and Low Voltage electrical design.
• Heat rise calculations, equipment selection, and MCC layout design.
• Industrial automation and control systems.
• Mining infrastructure and plant design.
