Warehouse Manager

Were looking for a results‑driven Warehouse Manager to oversee receiving, storage, and picking operations in a high‑volume distribution centre. This role is central to ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Purpose

Lead the warehouse team to deliver sustainable operations at the right cost and quality standards, while safeguarding staff well‑being and customer service.

• Manage budgets for labour, stock losses/damages, repairs, and machinery.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, FSSC 22000 standards, and food safety protocols.
• Pass internal/external audits and close gaps within deadlines.
• Drive continuous improvement in process, quality, service, and cost.
• Oversee accurate picking and receiving, with proper labelling and floor readiness.
• Maintain facilities, equipment, and health & safety standards.
• Plan and resource activities, prepare budgets, and deliver accurate reporting.
• Mitigate risks (fire systems, refrigeration, generators, rack inspections).
• Lead and develop staff through meetings, one‑on‑ones, and certification compliance.

• Education: Grade 12 with Higher Grade Math + Tertiary Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics.
• Experience: 57 years in warehousing/distribution (FMCG/QSR), including shift management, inventory, people management, health & safety, and multi‑temperature stock.
• Systems: Advanced MS Excel, MS Office, WMS, and Microsoft Great Plains.
• Competencies: Strong communication, planning, time management, problem‑solving, and attention to detail.
• Behavioural: Integrity, disciplined work ethic, safety‑conscious, productivity‑driven, and quality‑focused.
