Senior Legal & Compliance Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the legal and compliance function across the business unit
- Provide strategic legal advice on commercial contracts, partnerships, and operational matters
- Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs aligned with international regulations and corporate governance standards
- Oversee contract drafting, negotiation, and risk mitigation strategies
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements within the logistics and freight industry
- Manage legal risk, disputes, and liaise with external counsel where necessary
- Drive internal compliance training and awareness initiatives
- Report to senior leadership on legal and compliance matters, risks, and improvements
- Support business expansion initiatives across different jurisdictions
- Qualified Attorney (LLB or equivalent), admitted to practice
- Minimum 710 years post-qualification experience in a commercial/corporate environment
- Strong background in corporate compliance within a commercial sector (logistics or related industries preferred)
- Proven experience in a managerial or leadership capacity
- In-depth knowledge of corporate governance, regulatory frameworks, and risk management
- Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Ability to operate effectively in a multinational environment
- Strategic thinking and business acumen
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail with a risk-aware mindset
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
