Lodge Manager (Expat)

The role involves managing both people and processes to ensure a world-class guest experience while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance.

• Oversee all aspects of lodge operations, including guest experience, maintenance, kitchen, finance, and staff management
• Lead and develop the senior lodge team and broader staff
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditure projects
• Ensure infrastructure, IT systems, security, healthcare, and environmental health are effectively maintained
• Liaise with government bodies to ensure compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements
• Support conservation, sustainability, and community development initiatives
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure lodge compliance
• Manage the lodges digital presence and contribute to internal communications
• Innovate and enhance guest experiences while staying aligned with the lodges heritage and brand standards
• Foster strong relationships with guests, both new and returning
• Oversee procurement efficiencies and operational checklists

• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities with experience managing diverse teams
• High energy, proactive mindset, and a passion for world-class guest service
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Financial and IT competence
• Practical skills with basic maintenance knowledge
• Attention to detail and ability to uphold high standards
• Adaptable, innovative, and solutions-oriented
• Passionate about conservation and sustainability
• Fluent in English
• Previous lodge or camp management experience is a strong advantage
• Experience in hospitality and service training
• Background in mobile camps or safari operations is advantageous
