Our client, a world-class financial services provider, is seeking a high-caliber Managing Director to lead their international investment division. This executive role is a key member of the Executive Committee and is responsible for the overall management, strategic direction, and profitability of the international business.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Vision: Formulate and communicate the vision and strategy for the international business, ensuring future market relevance.

Business Operations: Manage the business as a whole, including business planning, budgeting, and resourcing for client servicing, investment administration, and product sales teams.

Relationship Management: Manage the relationship with the Bermuda Monetary Authority and build mutually beneficial internal and external stakeholder networks.

Growth & Performance: Achieve annual sales, profit, and Value of New Business (VNB) targets while driving productivity through investment channels.

Value Proposition: Ensure a competitive and sustainable value proposition remains available to intermediaries and retail clients.

People Leadership: Lead and mentor a senior management team, fostering a culture aligned with company values and ensuring robust performance and development plans.

Operational Excellence: Oversee risk management, compliance, product development, and the enhancement of technology within intermediary and client channels.

Requirements:

Education: A Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is considered highly advantageous.
Experience: At least 5 to 10 years of experience at a senior management level.
Industry Knowledge: Deep knowledge and experience in international investments is a key requirement.
Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in managing teams or divisions in high-performance environments that consistently achieve targets.
Strategic Capability: Proven experience in developing and implementing strategic priorities to improve competitive advantage and profit margins.
Skills: Strong communication, numeracy, and literacy skills, with the ability to anticipate industry trends and client needs.

Leadership Competencies: Exceptional people skills, innovative thinking, resilience, and the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels.
