Customs Entry Clerk

Our client is one of the world's largest manufacturers of building materials, with a strong international presence and a reputation for innovation and growth.

They are seeking a stable and detail-oriented Customs Entry Clerk to join their expanding team.

Duties:

• Framing and processing customs entries for seafreight imports and ad hoc airfreight shipments.
• Handling the customs clearance process for predominantly import shipments.
• Framing and processing customs entries for ad hoc export roadfreight shipments into BLNS countries (Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia and Eswatini).
• Ensuring customs documentation is accurate and compliant with relevant regulations.
• Liaising with internal departments, customs authorities and service providers to facilitate smooth cargo movement.
• Monitoring shipment statuses and resolving customs-related queries and delays.
• Maintaining accurate customs records and documentation.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience framing customs entries within a clearing and forwarding environment (non-negotiable).
• Sound knowledge of customs procedures and import/export regulations.
• Experience handling seafreight imports is essential.
• Exposure to export roadfreight shipments into BLNS countries would be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
