Senior Bookkeeper Accountant

Reporting to the Financial Manager you are a dynamic and detail-oriented finance professional ready to take the next step in your career? Our client is seeking an Accountant to join their Bellville team, with the exciting opportunity to grow into a national finance leadership role as their operations expand.
This is more than just a regional accounting role were looking for someone who is eager to evolve with the business, take ownership of financial processes, and contribute to strategic decision-making across the country.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Accounting: Daily reconciliations, journal entries, inter-company transactions, fixed asset management, petty cash, payroll validation, and inventory support.
- Reporting: Weekly and monthly performance reports, management accounts, variance analysis, and year-end financial packs.
- Budgeting & Cost Control: Expense monitoring, variance reporting, budget preparation and consolidation.
- Compliance & Leadership: Internal control adherence, audit coordination, policy implementation, and team leadership support.
- B.Com or equivalent in Financial/Management Accounting (Honours/Postgrad Diploma required)
- CIMA Graduate or Newly Qualified CA (advantageous)
- Minimum 5 years in full accounting and reporting
- Strong Excel and MS Office skills
- Manufacturing industry experience (required)
- Audit background (advantageous)
Skills & Attributes
Advanced knowledge of SAP and ERP systems, strong understanding of internal controls, VAT, and production accounting, proactive, detail-oriented, and resilient, excellent time management and communication skills and leadership potential and a collaborative mindset.
