Our client is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your accounting career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Youll play an integral role in the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring financial records are accurate, reconciled, and compliant.

This role is based in Sandton, Johannesburg North.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing daily banking activities such as processing payments, updating cashbooks, and preparing bank reconciliations.
• Supporting treasury tasks, including foreign payments, cashflow preparation, and liaising with banks.
• Handling fuel account administration including card management and statement processing.
• Assisting with creditor functions: reconciliations, payment allocations, and maintaining a clean creditor ledger.
• Invoicing and debtor-related tasks such as allocating incoming payments and following up on outstanding invoices.
• Supporting asset capitalisation and assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

Requirements:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.
• 12 years experience in an accounting support role preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Proficient in MS Excel and comfortable working with accounting systems.
• A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow in a finance function.
