• To provide excellent customer service by accurately processing customer transactions, handling payments, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.
• Process cash, card, and electronic payments accurately.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers.
• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Resolve customer queries and escalate complaints when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area.
• Assist with stock packing, pricing, and merchandising when required.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Report shortages, discrepancies, or suspicious activities to management.
• Promote store specials, loyalty programs, and promotions where applicable.

• Matric certificate advantageous/ Grade 11.
• Previous cashier or retail experience advantageous.
• Basic numeracy and computer skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Honest, reliable, and trustworthy.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle high volumes of transactions.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
