Junior Accountant

Our client is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their finance team and support core accounting operations.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in accounting and a strong sense of integrity to develop further under the guidance of senior professionals.

This role is based in Menlyn, Pretoria East.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately record day-to-day financial transactions into the accounting system
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Reconcile bank accounts and investigate variances
• Process invoices, issue billings, and assist with queries
• Support accounts payable and receivable functions
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records
• Monitor and code business expenses and reimbursements
• Assist with audit preparations and compliance documentation
• Post journal entries and ensure data accuracy
• Provide input for budgeting and forecasting processes
• Communicate with vendors and clients on payment matters
• Help maintain the fixed assets register
• Provide ad hoc support to the senior accountant on various projects

Requirements:

• A diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance
• Completed SAICA/SAIPA Articles.
• 12 years experience in a similar accounting role
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
