Sales Product Effectiveness Trainer - Pharmaceutical
MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Sales Product Effectiveness Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering and continuously improving product onboarding and ongoing product knowledge capability programs for Pharmacy Representatives.
The role is responsible for equipping representatives with product knowledge, pharmacy channel understanding and product positioning capability required to confidently engage pharmacists, pharmacy owners, pharmacy assistants and pharmacy staff.
The trainer will develop representative capability by translating product knowledge into meaningful customer conversations, enabling representatives to effectively position with company products and differentiate them from competitor products within the pharmacy market through factual product knowledge, product features and benefits, and ethical product positioning.
The role focuses on building representative confidence, product expertise and customer engagement capability while developing the foundation for future sales effectiveness methodologies within the organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Training & Capability Development
Design and deliver onboarding and continuous product training programs for Pharmacy Representatives.
Develop engaging learning material, workshops and practical training sessions.
Deliver refresher product training aligned to business priorities and product launches.
Conduct product knowledge competency assessments. Ensure representatives understand appropriate product positioning within the pharmacy environment.
Develop product training material that supports product launches, portfolio changes and competitor activity.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date product training content.
Product Knowledge & Positioning
Develop representative product knowledge across the pharmacy portfolio.
Train representatives to use product features and benefits to effectively position Austell products and differentiate them from competitor products within the pharmacy market.
Develop competitor product knowledge and positioning tools.
Ensure product training content remains accurate, relevant and compliant.
Representative Competency
Develop and maintain representative product knowledge competency.
Conduct product knowledge assessments.
Monitor representative competency and recommend further development where required, regarding product knowledge and displacement.
Maintain accurate product training records.
Compliance
Ensure all product training complies with SAHPRA regulations and company policies.
Maintain accurate and compliant product training documentation.
Qualifications:
One of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm)
- BSc Life Sciences
- Pharmaceutical Sciences qualification
- Relevant Healthcare qualification
Experience:
- 35 years' experience in a Training or Learning & Development role within the pharmaceutical industry;
- Registered Pharmacist with 35 years' experience in retail pharmacy or the pharmaceutical industry;
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative within the retail pharmacy market.
