Accounts Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Clerk to join our finance team on a half-day basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting accounting functions with a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and Sage accounting system proficiency.

This role is ideal for someone seeking flexible working hours while contributing to the smooth running of financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture and process invoices, receipts, payments, and journals on Sage.
  • Perform debtors and creditors reconciliations.
  • Assist with cashbook entries and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
  • Assist with VAT, PAYE, and other statutory submissions.
  • Provide support in preparing monthly management accounts.
  • Follow up on outstanding payments and assist with credit control.
  • Handle general finance and administrative duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in an accounts/finance role.
  • Proficiency in Sage accounting software (essential).
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and reconciliations.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and professional conduct.

Working Hours:

  • Half-day, mornings preferred (negotiable).
  • On-site position.
