Intern: Retail Store Execution Assistant

Role Overview

The successful candidate will ensure consistent implementation of retail standards while coordinating field inspectors to maintain high-quality execution. This position is well-suited to a recent graduate who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to develop within a retail environment.

1. Store Development & Upgrades

• Support the upgrade and optimisation of in-store displays and fixtures
• Monitor store buildouts to ensure projects are completed on time and meet required standards
• Coordinate with suppliers, landlords, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution

1. In-store Execution & Standards

• Ensure store displays, POS materials, and branding align with company standards
• Conduct regular store inspections and identify areas for improvement
• Support the implementation of visual merchandising guidelines

1. Store Visits & Field Team Management

• Plan and conduct regular store visits across the Johannesburg region
• Manage and oversee field inspectors to ensure accurate reporting and quality execution
• Review store visit reports and track resolution of identified issues

1. Cross-functional Coordination

• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to support retail execution initiatives
• Assist in the rollout of in-store campaigns and promotional activities

• Strong execution ability with a willingness to learn
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and proactive

• Willingness to travel frequently for store visits
• Valid drivers license and ability to drive (preferred)

• Interest in retail, consumer electronics, or store operations
• Internship or entry-level experience in retail or marketing (advantageous)
