Junior Design Engineer

As a Junior Design Engineer, you will support the design and development of power distribution systems and switchgear solutions. You'll work closely with Senior Engineers and project teams to deliver high-quality technical designs that meet client requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the design and specification of low and medium voltage power distribution systems.
• Produce CAD drawings, wiring schematics, and layout diagrams for switchgear assemblies.
• Support the selection and integration of switchgear components, including circuit breakers, relays, busbars, and enclosures.
• Work with procurement, production, and installation teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, and BS EN).

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Some experience (academic or commercial) with power distribution and/or switchgear systems.
• Basic proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, and EPLAN).
• Good understanding of electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within a technical engineering environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
