External Sales Representative - Pretoria

A well‑established company is seeking an External Sales Representative to serve Pretoria and the surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in electrical sales, strong relationship‑building skills, and the ability to manage orders while delivering outstanding customer service.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Matric certificate
• Minimum 4+ years sales experience
• Well spoken in Afrikaans and English
• At least 4+ years' experience within a steel or electrical industry
• Valid drivers license / Own vehicle
• MS Office Suite (Excel) / Sage experience
• Strong customer service and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication (verbal, written, listening)
• Good time management
• Must be presentable
• Target driven and detail orientated

Responsibilities:

• Travel within Pretoria and surroundings area to meet and maintain customer relationships
• Conduct calls, meetings, quotations, tenders, and follow-ups
• Accurately capturing of orders / manage back-orders
• Close sales and provide after-sales service
• Promote products, communicate updates, and handle customer feedback
• Negotiate prices/discounts within guidelines
• Manage weekly call sheets, goods returns, and contract reviews
