An established business is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their finance team in Paarl. This role is suited to a hands-on individual who can manage reporting, support operational finance functions, and assist in improving processes within the finance department.
Duties:
- Managing payments, including weekly cash flow and delivery-related payments
- Assisting with month-end creditors (supporting the creditors clerk where required)
- Performing financial analysis and analytics
- Preparing operational and financial reports (e.g., invoicing, tracking operational metrics such as units/equipment)
- Monthly and quarterly reporting
- Assisting with audit requirements
- Preparing financial statements
- Managing TAX and VAT returns
Qualifications & skills:
- BCom Accounting degree
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
- Completed articles (SAIPA or SAICA) preferred
- If no articles, relevant practical experience is required
