Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimise VMware virtual infrastructure environments
- Oversee enterprise backup solutions using Veeam Backup & Replication
- Administer and maintain server hardware and storage infrastructure
- Lead infrastructure-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage third-party vendors and service providers
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with safety standards
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or equivalent
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 years experience as a Systems Administrator (Windows Server)
- Minimum 10 years experience managing VMware environments
- Minimum 10 years experience with Veeam backup solutions
- Minimum 10 years experience with IBM storage systems
- Skills & Certifications:
- MCSA/MCSE (Windows Server) mandatory
- MCITP Enterprise Administrator essential
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification
- IBM Certified Specialist (System X, Storage, Tape, and Fibre)
- Veeam Certified Backup Specialist
- Strong knowledge of virtualization, storage, and backup infrastructure
- Additional Requirements:
- Valid drivers license and own reliable transport
- Willingness to travel as required
- Availability for after-hours support, standby, and weekend work
