Junior operations technician - camperdown area

RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced JUNIOR OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN for a growing, well-established large international concern, position based in the Camperdown area, KwaZulu-Natal.

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Feed Mill Technology.
• 02 years experience (feed mill or manufacturing exposure preferred but not required).
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical fundamentals, or automation.
• Willingness to work shifts and learn company processes.
• Knowledge in engineering and production process technology.
• Feed milling technology an added advantage.
• PLC technology.

• Responsible for feed process technology and engineering support to all business units and support when implementing major projects.
• Responsible for protection of company assets through development and implementation of best practice asset management principles.
• Development of production and engineering staff with regard to feed process technology and engineering skills.
• To provide increased depth to the operations team.
• Equipment support and troubleshooting.
• Production process monitoring.
• Preventive maintenance (PM).
• Continuous Improvement & Efficiency.
• Quality and safety compliance.
• Documentation and reporting.
• Teamwork and learning.
• Project management.
