Key Responsibilities
-Design processes to manufacture, re-engineer, and maintain all production tooling, jigs, and fixtures.- Ensure all production tools and equipment are in optimal working order to produce quality products.
- Program and operate all CNC machines and conventional machines in the tool room.
- Assist the Production Department with the commissioning of new tools.
- Monitor and record tool performance, implement improvements to increase tool life, and reduce repair costs.
- Execute reasonable tasks as required by the Tool Room Foreman.
- Comply with all Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies (OHSA, NOSA, ISO 9001).
-Trade-Tested Toolmaker (Standard 10 / N3 qualification).
-± 5 years of relevant experience in toolmaking, machining, welding, fitting, and maintenance.
- Experience in programming and operating CNC machines and conventional toolroom machines.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work from samples.
- Strong technical skills with knowledge of steel machine ability.
- Experience in MasterCAM design and programming for CNC machines (Fanuc).
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Knowledge of OHSA, NOSA, and ISO 9001 standards.
-Problem-solving, innovative thinking, and process improvement skills are essential.
