Production foreman - wartburg area, kwazulu-natal

RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced PRODUCTION MANAGER for a large national concern, position based in the Wartburg area, KwaZulu-Natal.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Grade 12 (preferably with Maths and Science).

Diploma in Chemical Engineering would be an added advantage.

Courses on laboratory modules, evaporators, clarification, pan boiling will be an advantage.

Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Knowledge of PI historian, Maximo, Kronos, Apex System and online training modules.

5+ years post experience in a heavy industry environment with at least 2 years in the sugar industry.

2+ years supervisory experience, with packing experience preferable.

Completed necessary training modules for area of responsibility e.g. boiler modules / packing station / pan boiler modules / foreman training programme through the company.

Experience in refinery will be an added advantage.

Knowledge of OHSACT, NEMA, ISO 9001.2000 and HACCP food management system.

Knowledge of laboratory and refinery operations will be an advantage.

Demonstrates the importance of safety, quality, and teamwork; effectively leads and communicates.

Person must reside locally, preferably in the Pietermaritzburg or surrounding areas.
