Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new synthesis routes for bioactive compounds and radio-therapeutics.
  • Synthesize linkers, attach to compounds, and perform full characterisation (NMR, HPLC-MS, FT-IR, TLC).
  • Radiolabel molecules, conduct cell uptake and stability studies.
  • Present findings, mentor MSc/PhD students, and contribute to reports, publications, and conferences.
  • Publish at least two papers per year.
Requirements
  • PhD (last 5 years) in synthetic organic or medicinal chemistry;
  • Strong background in organic synthesis (e.g., CC coupling, amide formation, halogenation, protection/deprotection).
  • Proficient in analytical techniques (TLC, NMR, HPLC-MS, FT-IR).
  • Advantageous: experience with radioactivity handling, molecular modelling, and radio-analytical techniques (LSC, gamma spectroscopy).
  • At least one peer-reviewed publication in the last 5 years (preferably in organic/medicinal/radiochemistry).
  • Excellent English communication skills.
