Mechanical Draughtsman

Job Description:

• Develop 3D CAD models for agricultural equipment and mechanical machinery
• Produce detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings
• Manage projects from initial sales handover through to manufacturing release
• Liaise with factory teams, overseas designers, and suppliers
• Accurately dimension mechanical components (motors, gearboxes, shafts, structures)
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all projects
• Coordinate with procurement for material sourcing requirements
• Follow up on factory assembly and address technical challenges
• Conduct site visits to resolve design issues and adapt to operational conditions
• Contribute to continuous improvement through practical design solutions

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 35 years of experience in mechanical drafting
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Autodesk preferred)
• Strong understanding of fabrication and mechanical component design
• Experience in agricultural equipment, fast-paced machinery, FMCG, or manufacturing environments is advantageous
• Strong organizational skills with a structured and detail-oriented approach
• Effective communication and teamwork across technical teams

Qualification:

• A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related
