Job Summary

This role suits a motivated sales professional who thrives under pressure and has a proven track record in funeral or life insurance sales.

• Conduct outbound sales calls to prospective clients to promote and sell Funeral Plans and Life Cover products.
• Identify and assess individual customer needs telephonically and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and professional rapport-building.
• Handle customer objections confidently and professionally to maximize conversion rates and sales outcomes.
• Achieve and consistently exceed individual and team sales targets within a high-performance contact center environment.
• Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date product knowledge across all Funeral Plan and Life Cover offerings.
• Ensure full compliance with relevant insurance regulations, internal policies, and quality assurance standards.
• Accurately capture and maintain customer information, sales records, and interaction data on the relevant systems.
• Participate in role-plays, coaching sessions, and sales demonstrations to continuously improve performance.
• Represent the company professionally in every customer interaction to uphold brand reputation and service excellence.

• NQF Level 6 qualification (Diploma or equivalent) is essential.
• Minimum 12 months of telesales experience within a contact centre or sales environment.
• Demonstrated experience selling Funeral Policies or Life Cover products is non-negotiable.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong command of sales techniques, including needs analysis, closing strategies, and objection handling.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with a clear, professional, and persuasive telephone manner.
• Ability to perform sales role-plays and telephonic product demonstrations as required.
• Comfortable working in a high-pressure, target-driven contact centre environment.
• Computer literate with the ability to accurately capture data and navigate CRM or sales systems.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to overall team performance.
