Requirements:
- Qualified Trade Certificate as a Millwright
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of plant maintenance experience
- Forklift driver's license advantageous
- Experience in a manufacturing environment advantageous
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment advantageous
- Experience with tool and parts management
- Computer literacy
- Experience in ARC, TIG and MIG welding advantageous
- Maintain plant equipment
- Perform plant maintenance during normal operations, breakdowns and during scheduled maintenance shutdown periods
- Perform advanced fault finding in order to restore machines and equipment to full operation condition
- Understand and interpret drawings and manuals
- Ensure that all installations (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic) are maintained to national and MHI standards
- Install new machines and equipment as and when required
- Respond to emergency machine breakdowns throughout the plant
- Do regular inspections of plant equipment
- Give feedback to the Maintenance Engineer on breakdown root cause analyses
- Attend to all relevant breakdowns during standby period
- Complete work orders and the work order book to keep a record of work completed
- Apply for parts by making use of the requisition procedure
- Conduct machine calibrations and setups
- Automation improvements and the installation of electrical equipment
- Maintenance and improvements on electrical control systems
