Instrumentation Technician

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechatronic/Electronic Engineering
• 510 years experience within a manufacturing environment, with strong exposure to instrumentation, PLCs, SCADA systems, and historians
• Instrumentation experience in the Food & Beverage industry
• A strong background in instrumentation installation, configuration, calibration and validation.
• Strong working knowledge of ASI, IO Link, Profinet, Siemens TIA Portal, VSDs, Ignition SCADA and SAP
• Compiling and Reading P&IDs and Wiring diagrams, familiar with E-plan
• An understanding of Industrial networks & cyber security
• Created Functional Description Specifications according to requirements
• Familiar with ISA-88 & ISA95 programming standard, and the implementation and troubleshooting of it
• Fluent in English
• Manufacturing processes & Product knowledge
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintenance, management and optimization of all instrumentation, control systems, and SCADA visuals, industrial networking and production information management on all DSA sites
• Managing requests from all parties to ensure the system remains optimal and fit for purpose in line with world class manufacturing standards
• Managing the critical spares requirement for all electronics and instrumentation
• Initiate and execute innovations and process improvements, either through continuous improvements or larger projects
• Managing and negotiating with external suppliers to ensure cost effective management of instrumentation and controls
• Ensure production and equipment data and information are available where and when it is required
• Implementing of best-in-class strategies to reduce costs and constant improvement of processes
• Familiar with Root Cause Analysis and various techniques to solve problems
• Based on your continuous analyses, you integrate and execute best practices to improve engineering services
• Continuous learning and benchmarking with the industry should enable you to develop and implement highest standards at the company
• Your standard working agenda includes regular presentations on upper management related to overall performance,
