Technical Draughtsperson

 Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed 3D models and technical drawings of process piping, storage vessels, pressure vessels, and other mechanical equipment.
• Produce piping isometric drawings including material take-off documentation.
• Develop 3D concepts for detailed design phases. 3D modelling and review of process plant layouts.
• Reading and interpretation of process and instrumentation diagrams.
• Ensure accurate design integration with other disciplines.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure designs meet project specifications and standards.
• Prepare and update technical documentation and drawings as required.
• Maintain drawing libraries and ensure adherence to industry standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma in Draughting or equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a draughtsman, with expertise in Autodesk Plant 3D, Autodesk Naviswork or similar 3D modelling softwares. (preferred industries: Manufacturing)
• Experience with process plant and mechanical equipment.
• Familiarity with industry standards and design codes (ASME, SANS, EN) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

• Required Skills:
• AutoCAD Plant 3D and AutoCAD general
• Inventor and-/or Solid Works experience will be a bonus
• Strong technical writing for assembly instructions
• Knowledge of Configuration & Product Data Management
• Excellent problem-solving skills focused on quality
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
