Claims Assessor (Automotive Industry)

Key Responsibilities
- Assess and validate warranty and technical claims submitted by dealerships.
- Investigate claim accuracy and ensure compliance with manufacturer policies and procedures.
- Analyze repair documentation, technician reports, and supporting evidence.
- Identify incorrect, fraudulent, or non-compliant claims and recommend corrective actions.
- Liaise with dealership service departments, technicians, and warranty teams regarding claim requirements.
- Provide technical guidance on repair procedures and claim submissions.
- Maintain accurate records and reports relating to claims assessments.
- Ensure all claims are processed within agreed turnaround times.
- Assist with audits and support continuous improvement initiatives relating to warranty and claims management.
- Stay updated on manufacturer technical bulletins, warranty policies, and industry best practices.
Minimum Requirements
Mandatory Requirements- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Qualified Motor Mechanic Trade Certificate.
- Diagnostic Technician Certificate OR Master Technician Certification.
- Previous dealership experience within the automotive industry.
- Strong understanding of automotive warranty processes and claim procedures.
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to interpret technical reports and repair documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Computer literacy and experience with dealership management systems.
