Management Accountant

This opportunity is ideal for a driven Management Accountant who enjoys working with data, adding commercial insight, and supporting business success. In this role, youll play a key part in financial reporting, strengthening controls, and delivering accurate, meaningful insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with the Financial Manager (FM), providing support in the execution of key financial and operational responsibilities.
• Prepare, review, and present monthly management accounts, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts with precision and clarity.
• Deliver insightful financial analysis and reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to strict timelines.
• Participate in balance sheet reviews, investigate variances, resolve queries, and provide commercially sound recommendations.
• Champion a culture of strong corporate governance and internal controls, identifying gaps and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Review internal audit findings and ensure the timely implementation of corrective actions.
• Provide operational support through detailed analytical reviews, including profitability analysis, cost management, and key performance metrics.
• Contribute to environmental and sustainability reporting initiatives.
• Compile Board packs, manage CAPEX budgets, and support feasibility studies, as well as various ad hoc and strategic projects.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Finance is essential.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar management accounting role.
• Strong understanding of hospitality industry financial principles.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS, taxation, and the Companies Act.
• Experience working on SAP is essential.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate numbers into meaningful business insights.
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel to various sites when required.
