Employer Description

Our client is a multidisciplinary civil engineering firm with expertise in water and sewer design, waste management systems, road and stormwater infrastructure, and sustainable housing developments.

Job Description

You will:

  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to define project requirements, deliverables, and scope.
  • Assist in project planning and implementation and manage project tasks and deliverables.
  • Perform administrative duties, including arranging meetings, preparing invoices, compiling estimates, and analysing project data.
  • Provide safety leadership to contractors and participate in ES&H inspections to ensure compliance with contractual, design, and quality requirements.
  • Support the identification and management of design changes and assess their impact on project cost and schedules.
  • Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, codes, standards, and company procedures.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or BSc Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • BTech or other qualification in Project Management (or similar) will be advantageous.
  • PMBOK and/or Prince2 certification will be advantageous.
  • Professional registration with ECSA (advantageous)
Skills
  • Minimum of five years experience in project management or project administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership ability with experience in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Working knowledge of subcontractor and SMME management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications will be advantageous.
  • Motivated individual with a proactive, results-driven attitude
  • Fluency in Afrikaans
