ABOUT THE ROLE
As the dedicated HR Generalist (PeopleOps Officer) for the Sales Division, you will provide end-to-end people support to our growing sales team. Your mission is to maintain a high-performance culture through clinical performance monitoring, data-driven HR management via our HMIS, and a physical presence on the floor during core and evening operational hours.
RESPONSIBILITIES- High-Velocity Onboarding, Probation & Offboarding
- Contract Management: Manage the full contract lifecycle, preparing and issuing all contracts, including expirations and renewals.
- Onboarding and Training : Facilitate the onboarding journey, schedule and participate in onboarding training and track 30/60/90-day ramp-up plans and probation reviews
- Professional Offboarding: Quick and efficient offboarding, including managing the recovery of company assets and immediate system deactivation to protect company IP.
- Performance & Revenue Monitoring
- Weekly and Monthly performance reviews: Partner with Regional Admissions Managers to review performance against weekly metrics and monthly revenue targets.
- Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs): Draft and manage formal PIPs for staff failing to meet revenue or activity targets.
- Disciplinary Action: Lead disciplinary hearings and track absenteeism
- CCMA Preparation: Collate comprehensive evidence packs for CCMA referrals, ensuring procedural and substantive fairness.
- General HR Business Partnering & Operations
- System Administration: Ensuring 100% data accuracy for all Revenue Department employee profiles on the company HMIS
- Employee Relations: Continuously apply internal HR policies as they apply to a high-pressure call center environment while staying compliant with labor laws.
- Wellness & Retention: Identify trends in turnover or burnout—especially within evening shifts—and recommend wellness interventions to keep the sales team energized and focused.
- Change Management: Support the Revenue Department through organisational changes, such as new commission structures, shift pattern shifts, or technology rollouts.
- Experience: 3–5 years of HR Generalist experience, specifically within a Call Center or High-Volume Sales environment (Mandatory).
- Shift Flexibility: Ability to work evening shifts a few days a week to support evening sales teams
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable with Google Workspace and hands-on experience using an HMIS (e.g., Workday, BambooHR, Sage, Workable).
- Legal Knowledge: Deep understanding of the BCEA, LRA, and CCMA processes.
- Interpersonal Savvy: Ability to challenge and coach Regional AdmissionsManagers when necessary while maintaining a collaborative partnership.
- Mindset: A "no task is too small" attitude with high attention to detail and a passion for people.
